+E-Bike Safety in Action: Ride Ready Yorba Linda
+As e-bikes become more popular, the City is taking proactive steps to keep Yorba Linda riders and residents safe. In partnership with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the City launched Ride Ready Yorba Linda, a campaign that promotes education, safety, accountability, and responsible riding. Together with the City’s e-bike regulations, the campaign helps create a safer community for everyone.
 +
+Ride Ready Yorba Linda will appear throughout the community and connect directly with riders and families. In March, City staff and Sheriff’s Deputies visited the Yorba Linda Town Center during peak after-school hours to meet with e-bike riders, encourage safe habits, and address unsafe behavior. Deputies shared important safety reminders, encouraged responsible riding, and reinforced rules that protect both riders and the community.
 +
+The campaign also connected with families at the Ready Parents: E-Bike Safety Meeting. Attendees received information about local laws, rules of the road, and e-bike responsibilities. Parents and riders asked questions, heard directly from Deputies, and left with tools to help young riders stay safe and accountable.

+Black Gold Storm Drain Improvement Project
 +
+The Public Works Department is making progress on the Black Gold Storm Drain Improvement Project to increase storm drain reliability. Workers are preparing the site for the next phase. The golf course will remain open as an 18-hole course during construction, and the project will finish by late summer 2026.
 +
+The work replaces part of the storm drain pipe, reinforces surrounding areas, and cleans and repairs the remaining line. After construction, the team will restore affected golf course areas, including paths, greens, lake features, landscaping, irrigation, and electrical systems.
+Storm Drain Improvements at Lemon Drive and Imperial Highway
 +
+The Public Works Department began storm drain improvements this month at the corner of Lemon Drive and Imperial Highway near In-N-Out. Crews will replace a section of storm drain pipe beneath the sidewalk and across Lemon Drive and Imperial Highway. Public Works temporarily relocated the traffic signal to support construction. Crews will complete most work overnight, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., to reduce traffic impacts. Work is expected to be completed by spring 2026. These upgrades will strengthen the storm drain system and help keep the area safer for pedestrians and motorists.
 +
 +Lakeview Avenue Widening Project
+Construction is underway on Lakeview Avenue between Bastanchury Road and Oriente Drive to improve traffic flow and safety. The project includes excavation on both sides of the street, utility relocations, and installation of a new sewer mainline. When complete, Lakeview Avenue will have one additional through lane in each direction, plus upgraded curbs and gutters, sidewalks, pavement, retaining walls where needed, and repairs to any impacted driveways or frontage areas. Work is expected to finish by fall 2026.

+Traffic Advisory for Upcoming Temple Open House
+Increased traffic is expected in Yorba Linda from April 30 through May 23 due to a large public open house event taking place at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple. Traffic will be most impacted along Bastanchury Road between Rose Drive and Imperial Highway during event hours. The event will be held Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. It will be closed on Sundays and on May 2 before 2 p.m.
+Residents and motorists may experience delays, especially during peak arrival and departure times. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area if possible and use alternate routes. Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution when traveling in the area. Temporary traffic control measures will be in place.
 +
+To help ensure a safe and smooth experience for all, visitors are asked to: follow all traffic laws, use designated pedestrian paths, park only in approved areas, and not in residential neighborhoods, and do not block driveways.

 +YLK TA Easter 2026
+Happy Easter and good afternoon neighbors.
 +
+Instead of a talk-around today at the clubhouse, Chris and I thought we would send a letter out keeping everybody up to date.
 +
+We're all pretty excited that the last two plazas to be paved will be completed this month. Replacement will start on April 14th, a Tuesday and be completed by April 17th, Friday. Letters went out already to all concerned residents. Logano Plaza will be started on April 21st, Tuesday and be completed by April 24th Friday. Please be mindful that residents from these plazas will not have use of their parking and will have to disperse through the complex. Please be patient. This completes a long-time project and finally, all of our 12 plazas will have pavers.
 +
+The community-wide garage sale is in just 6 weeks. This is an opportunity to clean out your garage and dispose of any unneeded items as well as electronics, old papers,  or old clothes. We will make bins available for shredding, for electronics, and for old clothes to provide for donation. The large trash bin will arrive on Friday May 15th and will be picked up on Monday May 18th. The community's garage sale will be Saturday May 16th from 7:00 in the morning until 11:00 AM. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity. This is an annual event and usually a great success.
 +
+Slope 1, the West slope, will have its maintenance this month.
 +
+The West slope was repaired last year and the fence repair at Cardena Plaza is finally complete.
 +
+The main pool exterior light standard has been replaced.
 +
+The SB-1572 irrigation redevelopment plan is making progress. Notices will soon be going out on plans for phase one. There will be discussions at the board meeting this next Thursday and at the May Talk Around, Sunday May 10th at 4:00 p.m. A 30% reduction in water usage is our goal for landscaping. This is a state-imposed target. Keep an eye out for announcements and meetings on how we plan to meet this goal.
 +
+As mentioned before, the board meeting for April is scheduled this Thursday, April 9th, at 7:00 p.m. in the clubhouse. If you can make it, we hope to see you there.
 +
 +Respectfully, Dave and Chris.
 +----
 +Good evening neighbors.
 +
+We're set to "spring forward" this Saturday night so there will be more daylight on Sunday at 4:00 pm when we gather at the clubhouse to meet for the March Talk Around.
 +
+We will preview the plaza pavings, 1572 update, the May community-wide garage sale, and all other concerns you bring along.
 +
+All residents are welcome to the Talk Arounds so please invite your neighbors.
 +
+Our next board meeting will be on Thursday, March 12th at 7:00 PM.
+We hope to see you there.
 +
 +Chris and Dave
 +
+Be well, do good work, and keep in touch.
 +----
 +Good afternoon neighbors.
+Happy February! We have a board meeting for this month tomorrow night, Thursday, February 12, at 7 PM at the clubhouse. The homeowner session will start at 7 PM and we hope to see you there.
 +----
 +
 +
 +Good afternoon neighbors.
+This Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday and it also coincides with the time we usually have the talk around. Because this is America’s holiday, we are not going to have a talk around. Our next board meeting will be a week from Thursday, February 12th, at 7 o’clock at the clubhouse. We hope to see you there.
 +----
 +
 +Good morning neighbors.
+We have an early in the month board meeting tonight at the clubhouse at 7 o’clock.
 +
+There were no contested seats for the board in this last election so the actions regarding the election tonight will be perfunctory as the board chooses who will perform what duties.
 +
+There will be some landscape issues discussed, patio cover maintenance, tree maintenance, as well as finances for the coming year, and spot painting around the complex.
 +
+We continue to work on the irrigation challenge, and of course work on the functional issues for members; parking permits, solar panels, architectural changes, etc.
 +
+Owners are welcome and encouraged to join us tonight at 7 o’clock at the clubhouse. We look forward to seeing you there.
 +
 +Dave and Chris
 +----
+Hello Neighbors and Happy New Year.
 +
+The first of the month is on Thursday so our January board meeting will be this next Thursday, the 8th.
 +
+So ... Sunday we will have a Talk-Around at the Clubhouse at 4:00 PM.
 +
+All residents are welcome. Bring your questions, observations, and concerns; we'll have a chat.
 +
+YLK Talk-Around, Sunday, December 4th, 4:00 PM at the Clubhouse.
 +
 +Hope to see you there.

 +Hello neighbors.
 +Happy Holidays.
 +
+Chris and I delivered your Christmas cheer to the Cervantes and Hernandez families last Saturday afternoon. They are lovely people and the children were very, very excited, especially the little ones. It was a joy to see the anticipation on their faces and the gratitude of the parents. We presented it as Christmas greetings from our community to theirs. Chris did a wonderful job gathering all your generous gifts and organizing them so that through your generosity, we delivered three gifts for each household member. There were big, big smiles and eager faces.
 +
+Here are notes from the two families. They wrote to Chris jut after we left.
 +
 +From the Cervantes family
+Thank you so much. We appreciate so much from our hearts.  God bless you and your whole family! A big hug and Hoping God blesses you and your family a lot of wishes!

 +Hello neighbors.
+We have got big doin’s this week.
+We have four plazas that still need pavers and we are working on two in the next two weeks.
 +
+Tomorrow, Monday, work begins on Almara Plaza. Residents in that plaza will not have parking access from Monday till Thursday, so, let’s work together to make this construction workable. Almara residents, be sure to put passes on your car’s dash if they do not have a sticker.
 +
+Work on Marino Plaza will begin next Monday.
 +
+Speaking of Marino Plaza SHOUTOUT to you all for lining up your waste cans off the plaza. That will be very helpful long term on wear and tear from the garbage trucks.
 +
+I’m including the financials and minutes from the last meeting. Our next Talk Around is Sun. Oct 5th at the clubhouse and our next board meeting is on Thursday October 9th.
